About Abigail

Hi, my name is Abigail! I'm majoring in Biology and minoring in French at the University of Utah. I am a 4.0 student who leads multiple study groups on campus each semester. That's where I found my passion for tutoring. I'm a positive, patient, and kind person who genuinely cares about your success as a learner. As an added bonus, I have three younger siblings in elementary, middle, and high school, so I have experience helping learners of all levels.

About the lesson

I specialize in elementary math through pre-calculus. I know how difficult it is to be a student because I am one myself! As such, I have picked up many tricks along the way to be successful, and I can't wait to share them with you. I tailor my lessons around every individual according to their learning style and speed. For some, a typical session may look like breaking down homework problems into small, manageable steps. For others, I may simulate a testing environment and provide tips to help with time management and test anxiety. I offer a unique style of teaching centered around active participation to make concepts more digestible and even fun! From homework help and studying tips to mnemonic devices, we’ll find what works best for you!
