About Jayleigh

I’m a dedicated and approachable English tutor who loves helping students feel more confident in their abilities. With over 1 year tutoring experience (Prep-Grade 12) I have a strong understanding of the Australian curriculum expectations and a passion for clear communication. I focus on making English feel logical rather than overwhelming. I specialize in breaking down complex ideas, guiding students through novels, essays, and analytical writing with practical strategies they can actually use. My teaching style is supportive, patient, and tailored to each student’s needs, ensuring every lesson feels purposeful and achievable. I’m committed to helping learners grow their skills, reduce stress, and reach their academic goals.

My Achievements:
- Certificate III Information Technology (Programming and Web Development)
- Academic Excellence Award
- Subject Award Digital Solutions
- Subject Award Chemistry
- Subject Award Digital Solution
- Diploma of Business

About the lesson

My English lessons are structured to give students clarity, confidence, and consistent progress to reach their goals. Each session begins with a quick check‑in to identify what you’re currently working on and where you’re feeling stuck. From there, we move into a focused mini‑lesson that targets a specific skill—whether it’s analysing a novel, improving essay structure, unpacking themes, or strengthening grammar and expression. I break concepts down into simple, manageable steps so you always understand the "why" behind the skill, not just the "how."

We then apply the skill through guided practice using your school texts or tailored materials I provide. You’ll receive immediate feedback, model responses, and strategies you can use independently. Every lesson ends with a short recap and a clear plan for what to work on next, so you leave feeling organised and supported. My goal is to make English feel logical, achievable, and far less stressful.

What you'll get:
-Clear explanations of difficult concepts, tailored to their learning style
- Structured and focused sessions aligned with the student’s needs
- Development of both academic skills and problem-solving abilities
- A tutor committed to helping their child achieve strong results and confidence
- My written high level exemplars and exam prep materials
