About Madeleine
I am an undergraduate student studying English at the University of Cambridge. I have a passion for literature and I am the Senior Editor of a creative writing magazine in my spare time.
I have been tutoring English for two years and my favourite text to teach is Shakespeare’s Macbeth!

My lessons are for either A Level or GCSE students and are typically between 1 hour and 1.5 hours.
I have two years of tutoring experience and have helped past students improve their grades so that they were able to achieve grade 9s at GCSE in both literature and language.
In my lessons I ensure the student has a full understanding of the texts they will be examined on and teach language analysis so that students are able to both analyse with spontaneity and have language techniques prepared for when they enter the exam hall. I also focus on improving exam technique which includes going through past papers with the students and am willing to mark any written work they produce in advance of a tutoring session.
