About Zadie
I'm a current student at the University of Melbourne about to complete my Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English and Theatre Studies. I've worked as a tutor for four years, with specialisation in VCE, study skills, English, creative writing, and EAL. My passion for teaching comes from my understanding that school can be highly stressful, and I love working with students who find school or English particularly difficult. As a tutor, I work always from a place of empathy.
I also work as a theatre-maker and writer; I'm a highly creative person! My favourite part of English is text analysis and creative writing. I love English, and I'm always excited to share my passion with students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, swimming, drinking copious amounts of coffee, bingeing TV, and trying to decide whether I should get a dog.

The foundation of my teaching methodology is my belief that all students are unique, and deserve lessons and systems tailored to them. I approach tutoring with deep kindness and respect, and see all lessons as a collaborative effort between student and tutor.
I have four years of experience as a tutor, including experience with students struggling at school, neurodivergent students, and students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. I teach all ages, with a specialisation in Year 11 and Year 12 students. Typically, my lessons will go for an hour, but I am very flexible.
In addition to weekly hour-long lessons, I offer editing and feedback sessions, written feedback, and collaborative study time. I am a dynamic and experienced tutor ready to offer a rigorous, passionate, kind and flexible model of tutoring to all students.
