About Sarah
I am a dedicated and organized tutor currently completing a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Psychology. My degrees require exceptional writing, strong analytical thinking, and clear communication skills I bring directly into my English tutoring. I have developed a teaching approach that is structured, patient, and adaptable, helping students from Year 2 to Year 12 build confidence in their reading and writing. I take pride in creating lessons that are engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether a student is learning basic grammar, preparing for a school assessment, or developing advanced essay-writing skills, I focus on giving them practical tools they can rely on across all subjects. My tutoring approach focuses on building strong foundational English and writing skills through clarity, structure, and confidence. Studying law has trained me to write with precision, analyse language carefully, and communicate complex ideas in a simple, structured way. For younger students (Years 2–6), I focus on reading comprehension, sentence structure, vocabulary development, grammar basics, and building writing confidence through guided practice. For high-school students (Years 7–12), I teach analytical writing, essay structure, textual analysis, persuasive writing, creative writing, and exam-style responses.
I incorporate modelling and scaffolding showing examples first, then guiding the student, letting them write independently. Feedback is constructive and specific, helping students understand exactly how to improve.
I adjust my teaching to each student’s level, learning style, and pace. Lessons are typically between 30m for younger students to an hour.
