About Alyssa
I am from Miami, Florida, however, I am currently a freshman at Florida State University majoring in Criminology on a pre-law track. Despite my career path, I’ve always had a deep love for working with children. I’ve been tutoring for over two years, and I also completed a year-long volunteer program at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Rehabilitation Center, where I worked with kids receiving speech, physical, and occupational therapy. These experiences have strengthened my passion for helping children learn, grow, and feel supported.

I have experience tutoring both boys and girls ages 7 to 14, and over time I’ve learned how to adapt to each child’s unique learning style. By understanding what helps them focus and stay motivated, I’m able to build strong study habits, break down their classwork in ways that make sense to them, and create activities centered around their personal interests to keep them engaged. My goal is to make learning both effective and enjoyable for every student.
