About Isaac
I’m Isaac, a current VCE student with a strong academic background in both the Hong Kong, International A-Level, and Australian education systems. I’ve always enjoyed Math, not just for solving problems but for the way it sharpens logical thinking. I started tutoring because I know how helpful it can be to have someone explain things clearly and patiently. I’ve often helped classmates understand challenging topics, and I want to use that same approach to support other students who are working through Years 9 and 10. Even though I’m new to tutoring formally, I bring recent, first-hand experience with the material and an understanding of what students often find difficult—and how to overcome it.

I offer tutoring in Mathematics for Year 9–10 students, with a focus on building strong fundamentals, improving problem-solving skills, and preparing for senior-level studies. My lessons are clear and structured. I break down complex problems into simple steps, explain the reasoning behind each method, and provide guided practice to help students apply what they’ve learned confidently. I adjust the pace and focus depending on the student’s level and goals—whether it’s catching up, revising for exams, or moving ahead of the class. Lessons are usually 1 hour long, but the duration can be adapted if needed. I’ve studied A Level Mathematics, and I’ve previously studied under the Hong Kong secondary curriculum, which has a strong emphasis on algebra, problem-solving, and exam technique. This gives me a solid understanding of both theoretical and applied aspects of math, as well as experience with different question styles and standards. These lessons are best suited for: Year 9–10 students needing support with school topics Students preparing for VCE or aiming to transition smoothly into senior years Those wanting to strengthen core math skills from different syllabus backgrounds
