As a VCE student who's maintained top scores in English throughout high school, and for someone with a passion for teaching, I find tutoring is both rewarding for me and my students equally. I enjoy establishing connections with students and watching them improve.

Lesson structures depend on the student's individual needs. First class or 2 are diagnostic to see which areas the student needs extra help, and lesson time is spent proportionate to which areas need further reinforcement. Lessons duration and frequency also varies depending on the needs and availabilities of the student.
Lessons range from years 2-9. Primary school lessons are centered around building reading comprehension skills and writing skills, more focused on building the students a strong foundation in English rather than rushing through content.
High school lessons for years 7-9 get into the test-taking & preparation side, focusing on how to write quality pieces under increasingly harsh time conditions, and being able to understand and analyze texts in exam conditions, answering different forms of questions and further reinforcing other topics.
