About Katie

Hi, nice to meet you! I am about to qualify as a paramedic following a three year bachelor's degree in Paramedic Science. I achieved an A in biology at GCSE level and achieved an A and A* in social science subjects at A-level. I understand how stressful the exam season can be and it's intimidating when you feel like you don't know where to start. As a neurodivergent learner myself, I am aware of the additional challenges students can face when learning. As a result, I take a collaborative approach and am more than happy to alter the focus/pace of learning to suit each student. I offer a supportive and nurturing environment alongside accountability and consistency. If I sound like a good match for you, please get in touch!

About the lesson

I offer 1-1 tutoring in Biology up to GCSE level. I offer weekly rolling sessions as well as block packs. I also offer a six week intensive course for GCSE Biology (AQA, Edexcel & OCR exam boards) consisting of: - One 60 minute online tutoring session each week; - 1 worksheet, which will be given at the end of each session, to complete during the week for consolidation of the previous week's content; - 3 resource packets for topics chosen by the student which they may require additional support with. If students require a more tailored package relating to specific topics, this can also be arranged.

Katie tutored my son for GCSE Biology when he was in year 10. He seemed to look forward to his lessons, which always had a focus and were planned prior to the lesson. She also provided him with resources and support to assist him during the week. Extremely grateful to Katie for helping my son to understand the areas he was struggling with. He no longer finds Biology a difficult subject at school and is predicted a 6 in his exams this year.
