About Anna-mai

Hello! My name is Anna, and I am a passionate and dedicated educator currently studying to become a **primary school teacher**. I have always loved working with children and helping them grow in confidence and ability through learning.

One of the things that makes my teaching experience unique is that I have **taught in four different countries** and in a wide variety of **educational settings**. This has given me the opportunity to work with children from different cultures, backgrounds, and learning styles. These experiences have helped me develop a flexible, patient, and supportive approach to teaching, as I understand that every child learns in their own way.

Through my teaching practice and tutoring experience, I have worked with primary school children on **reading, writing, math, and homework support**, always focusing on building confidence as well as academic skills. I aim to create a **positive and encouraging learning environment** where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and trying their best.

I take my role as an educator very seriously and always approach tutoring with **professionalism, preparation, and care**. My goal is not only to help students improve their school work but also to help them develop a **love of learning and belief in their own abilities**.

I look forward to supporting students on their learning journey and helping them reach their full potential.

My approach to private tutoring at primary level focuses on creating a supportive, engaging, and confidence-building learning environment where each child feels comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I believe that children learn best when lessons are interactive, encouraging, and tailored to their individual needs.

**Teaching Techniques and Methodology**
I use a variety of teaching techniques to make learning enjoyable and meaningful. My lessons include games, visual supports, discussion, and practical activities to help children understand concepts clearly. I break learning into small, manageable steps and provide plenty of encouragement and positive feedback. I also use real-life examples and creative activities to help students stay engaged and motivated. My aim is not only to help children complete their homework but also to build their confidence and understanding of the subject.

**Typical Length of a Lesson**
A typical lesson lasts **45–60 minutes**, depending on the age and concentration level of the student. Each session usually includes a short review of previous learning, focused work on a specific topic or homework support, and a quick recap at the end to reinforce what has been learned.

**Qualifications and Experience**
I am currently studying to become a **primary school teacher**, which gives me up-to-date knowledge of the primary school curriculum and effective teaching strategies. Through my studies and teaching practice, I have gained experience working with children of different abilities and learning styles. I am patient, supportive, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

**Who the Lessons Are For**
My tutoring is designed for **primary school students**, typically aged **5–12 years**. I provide support in key areas such as **reading, writing, math, homework support, and exam preparation**. Lessons are adapted to suit each child’s level and learning needs, whether they require extra support, confidence building, or additional challenge.

My goal as a tutor is to help children develop a positive attitude towards learning while improving their skills, confidence, and independence.
