About Simi

My name is Simi, and I am a patient and dedicated high school student tutor specializing in math. I focus on helping students build a strong understanding of mathematical concepts through clear explanations and step-by-step learning. My goal is to make math feel less stressful and more approachable for every student I work with.
I understand that many students struggle with math because it can sometimes feel confusing or fast-paced in school. My name is Simi, and my approach to tutoring focuses on patience, clarity, and building real understanding rather than memorization. I believe every student can improve in math when concepts are explained in a simple and step-by-step way. I teach using easy, structured steps so students never feel lost. I break down problems into smaller parts and explain each step clearly. I also use guided practice, where I solve examples with the student and then let them try similar problems on their own. If a student is struggling, I re-explain the concept in different ways until it makes sense. A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what the student already knows. Then I introduce or explain the new topic step-by-step with examples. After that, we practice together, and I slowly let the student work more independently. At the end of the lesson, I do a quick recap to make sure everything is understood. What makes me different is my patience and ability to explain math in a simple, stress-free way. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style based on the student. I focus on building confidence so students feel more comfortable with math over time. My lessons are for students who need help with elementary and middle school math. I work with beginners or students who struggle with understanding basic concepts and want to improve their skills step by step.
