About Belén
I am a native speaker of Spanish with a Ph.D. in Spanish from Princeton and I have been teaching languages since I was 18. I have taught ESL to children in Spain, and since 1993 I have taught Spanish at the college level at all levels, as well as Spanish literature and Hispanic cultures. I can have a native speaker improve their command of the language, I have worked as an interpreter and translator from English, and I have the ability to communicate in French, Italian, and Catalan.
Spanish language and culture is my passion and I have never found a student who was not able to progress with me.

I tailor my lesson plans to the learning needs of each student. After evaluating level, I create a long-term plan and I structure every exam to meet each student's goals. If you are struggling at school or college, need Spanish for work or travel, or simply want to become fluent, I can do it.
My lessons are interactive and you can see progress after every single session. I know the curriculum of all levels of Spanish after having taught all levels for 25 years. I can make the lesson fun or more structured.
