About Christina
Teaching has been one of the most fulfilling and rewarding experiences as an artist. I have taught undergraduate multilevel painting and drawing courses and love working with a range of students, from those who have little knowledge of painting and drawing to advanced students!
I love painting figurative, abstract, and landscapes. I have a Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where I was the recipient of the Helen Frankenthaler Award. I've exhibited my work nationally in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, and Minneapolis and will have a show in Shanghai next fall.

I will help you find and delve into your unique style and interests while learning foundational skills that will further your painting and drawing, such as composition, shading, how to measure, color theory, material techniques, and brushwork.
I teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced drawing and painting classes. Before lessons, I identify my student's level and experience and together we create goals and set up an individual lesson plan to achieve them. I love sharing knowledge and helping students grow and develop individual styles. I believe positive reinforcement along with strong foundational skills and experience is paramount to a good teacher who can help students grow skills and confidence.
