About Ирина
Hello, I’m Irina Privalova!
My life has been dedicated to dance for over 29 years. My journey started with Ballroom dancing, but my heart found its true home in the vibrant energy of Brazil. For the last decade, I have specialized in beautiful style: Samba no Pé (Carnival Samba)
My Samba no Pé Journey:
I fell in love with Carnival Samba under the guidance of Moscow's renowned Brazilian expert, Edvania Ferreira, performing with her show group "Que Beleza." Since 2015, I have been teaching this joyful art form.
· A huge honor: In 2019, I was crowned Queen of the Moscow Samba Carnival.
· The Real Deal: I live and breathe this dance. I have taken my passion to its birthplace, participating in the Rio de Janeiro Carnival in 2020, 2025, and 2026.
Teaching & Judging Experience:
I love sharing knowledge as much as I love dancing. I have been a featured guest instructor at international events like the Oman International Salsa & Dance Festival and Zouk workshops in Bremen. Currently, I am a regular instructor at the Brazuka Dance Festival (2020-2025) and serve on the jury for the Moscow Samba Festival.
My Teaching Style:
Whether you want to samba like you're in Rio, my lessons are energetic, patient, and focused on you. I believe in building a strong foundation so you can find your own freedom and joy in the dance.

Hello! I'm Irina, your guide to the soul of Brazil.
I specialize in Samba no Pé — the iconic, solo style of samba you see at the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. It's all about joy, rhythm, and that famous Brazilian swing!
My Experience:
I have been dancing Samba for 15 years. I’ve trained in Russia with Brazilian masters, in Rio de Janeiro with top professors and passistas of samba. Took part in Carnival in 2020, 2025, 2026. My passion is sharing the feeling of samba, not just the steps.
My Teaching Style:
· For Beginners: We start with the basic bounce (hips), coordination, and isolating movements. No stress, just fun!
· For Intermediates: We'll work on speed, complex footwork, arm styling, and building stamina for longer dances.
· The Vibe: My classes are energetic, positive, and patient. I believe anyone can learn to samba if they find the right rhythm for their body.
Who are my lessons for?
· Anyone preparing for a Carnival trip or workshop.
· People who love Brazilian music and want to move to it.
· Dancers from other styles (Zouk, Salsa, Contemporary) wanting to add samba technique.
Where & How:
· In-person (if your location matches) / Online via Zoom/Skype.
· 1-on-1 lessons or for couples/small groups.
· I can also help you prepare for performances or just for a fun night out!
