About Natalie
I am an instructor at an adult learning centre. I have a Teacher of Adults certificate as well as a Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certificate. I started working for Algoma District School Board in April 2013 as a volunteer, in February 2015 as a casual employee, and in November 2016 I became a permanent employee. Prior to that I was an Account Manager with RBC for 5 years, also giving me strong background in finance.

I love working as an adult instructor! My first step in teaching adults is to create a warm and welcoming space. Next I must determine their learning style. It is important to recognize if the students are a visual, audio, or kinesthetic learner so I can prepare lesson plans individualized for them. Adult learners have a desire to learn so it is important to teach them in a way that is fun and meaningful to them.
