I have taken private lessons for seven years so I am very familiar with how to teach others. I have also played in the top orchestra in the nation in high school so I have experience in playing challenging music.

As a Teacher I would focus on technique and practice. Private lessons are helpful, but without practice, it is very hard to improve. Whrn a stuident takes time outside of lessons to practice, it makes the lesson very effective because we can focus on what the student has questions on.
A standard lesson plan for me is to review a scale weekly and then to focus on sections of the music that student has particular problems with.
