About Darcie
I am a 22-year old History Student at Oxford University, dedicated to academic excellence, but enjoy a balanced life with my hobbies eg being in a singing society! Going to school is still a vivid memory, and I know more than ever what makes a good teacher. A good teacher understands the student and works at their pace, yet never underestimates them. A good teacher shares straight forward details on how to score well on exams, and makes sitting exams nothing to fear.

My lessons take a particularly personal approach, which will push the student whilst allowing their progress to guide the pace of the lesson. Being an postgraduate student, who has undergone GCSEs, A-levels and an undergraduate degree within the past 7 years, I can not only empathise with the student, but also provide an insight of exam-taking and learning that is not outdated.
Depending on the stage of the student, lessons could involve going over/explaining material, practicing mock exam questions, and draft a perfect answer.
Having attained a 9 in Religious Studies, History, English Lit and Lang. And an A in religious studies A level + A* in History A level, and a first in my degree, I am confident that a student would progress exponentially with my kind, encouraging hand.
My lessons can be tailored to any stage, but would be best suited to ages 9-16. I would be open also to tutoring A level History Students.
