About Saša
When working with other students, especially international students, I can identify what part of their understanding is lacking, and ensure that they understand the concept beyond only formulae and methods of solving questions. This particularly helps with the grade 9 questions, where knowledge has to be applied in order to correctly approach the problem. Depending on the level of current understanding of the particular topic, I can either design a lesson, explaining the whole topic, find questions to encourage critical thinking, etc. - whatever I or the student feels is needed to ensure thorough understanding. Currently, I am doing Mathematics A-Level (Edexcel) and have achieved Grade 9 in Higher Tier Mathematics IGCSE (Edexcel). So far, I have only tutored Physics students (GCSE Level) at my current school.

I plan the structure of my lessons according to the pace and the most suitable methods of learning of the student, to make them as effective as possible. I prefer to include starters covering topics that the student either struggles to remember or wants practice in. However, I like to let students decide what they want to cover in the lesson. The length of the lessons can also be arranged depending on the student's preferences (I usually make them an hour long). I achieved grade 9 in Mathematics IGCSE and 8s across all three sciences (Triple Science IGCSE). Currently, I am studying Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Psychology, and I used to tutor the lower year students in my school. I also have experience tutoring international students that struggle with vocabulary or terminology appropriate for their subjects - exam technique is important, therefore, after fully covering a whole topic, I prefer to give students multiple example questions. This allows students to see how to structure answers to get top marks.
