About Jen
I'm a multi passionate creative, but one of my original passions is music. I've had music in my life since as long as I can remember, and I love that I'm able to pass on a love for music to my students though engaging repertoire and listening to what their aspirations are.
I played recorder age 3, violin from age 4, and piano officially from age 7. I loved being part of orchestras as a string player, and love accompanying instruments and choirs. I've only recently found my confidence as a solo pianist but prefer to do more relaxed setups rather than full on recitals. I'm known locally for my unique sense of "style", and am highly recommended for being fun and modern.

Average lesson layout is 30 minutes weekly. I strongly believe that we should cover all aspects of music. In order to understand the piano you need the theory behind what you're learning, so generally the lessons for younger people are 20 minutes piano/10 minutes theory. Adults lead their own lessons. I'm adaptable, understanding and encouraging. I teach from age 5 - 70+, and follow ABRSM, but tailor lessons to the individual need.
