About Evan
With over 15 years of experience teaching drums, I work mainly with college students who want to strengthen rhythm, timing, and musical understanding. My goal is to make learning drums simple and enjoyable. My teaching method combines creativity, structure, and mentorship.
I explain concepts in easy language and guide students step by step. I encourage students to explore different grooves while staying focused on technique. I use innovative learning methods such as groove mapping, beat creation exercises, and tempo variation practice. I also include play-along sessions to build confidence and consistency.
Accountability is an important part of my teaching. I set clear practice goals and provide regular feedback. This helps students stay motivated and disciplined. Besides drums, I teach related subjects like rhythm theory, basic notation, and performance confidence. My lessons create a positive and encouraging learning space.
