About Jennifer
I am a TEFL certified, anthropology major who is well versed in all language arts topics, along with history, psychology, and science. For the past decade plus, I have worked with all age groups, from toddlers just learning to speak, middle school students struggling with reading comprehension, and adults seeking consulting and consumer education. This has prepared me to adapt to any learning style and all academic needs.
As a native English speaker who has taken 2 semesters of Spanish and German, I understand the difficulties of learning a second language from personal experience. Therefore, I am dedicated to making lessons fun, engaging, and easy to understand from beginner levels such as A1, up to advanced/C2. Business and Academic English are also niches I specialize in as well.

My English teaching approach will always adapt to each particular student's needs and learning goals. I'm very observant, cognizant, intuitive, and personable - which allows me to wear any 'hat' necessary :)
To achieve your language learning goals, I will hand-develop (no AI involved at all!!) a tailored syllabus with specific objectives that will gradually and comprehensively guide you to the level you want to achieve. From this syllabus, targeted lesson plans are created.
My lesson plans either involve a Present, Produce, Practice model or an Engage, Study, Activate model. Research has found that these are some of the most effective approaches when teaching a new language. The 3 main factors to language acquisition are exposure, form, and interaction. These factors are essential to the success of any ESL student, and I will ensure that lessons will always incorporate these 3 factors.
