About Maria

As a TEFL-certified English tutor with over seven years of experience, I am passionate about helping students build confidence and fluency in English. My Level 5 TEFL Certification (168 hours) and BA in English Language with a Minor in Psychology equip me with the skills to teach effectively across different age groups and proficiency levels. My approach is student-focused and results-driven. I tailor lessons to individual needs, ensuring an engaging and supportive learning environment. Using interactive methods such as storytelling, role-playing, and multimedia tools, I make language learning enjoyable while reinforcing key grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour and follows a structured format, starting with a warm-up and review, progressing through core learning activities, and ending with practice exercises and feedback. My goal is to make every session productive and enjoyable, helping students achieve measurable progress. I work with children, teenagers, and adults at beginner to advanced levels (A1-C1). Whether you're preparing for an exam, improving Business English, or looking to enhance everyday communication, I am committed to guiding you with patience, expertise, and professionalism. Let’s work together to achieve your language goals with confidence!

I follow a student-centred approach, tailoring each lesson to the learner’s needs, goals, and learning style. My teaching methods include interactive learning, structured yet flexible lesson plans, and real-world application to ensure practical language use. I incorporate games, storytelling, role-playing, and multimedia tools to make lessons engaging and effective.

Each lesson typically lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour and follows a structured format. We start with a warm-up and review, followed by the core lesson covering grammar, vocabulary, and conversation practice. The session ends with practice activities and feedback/homework to reinforce learning.

I hold a Level 5 TEFL Certification (168 hours) and a BA in English Language with a Minor in Psychology. With 7+ years of experience and over 400 hours of ESL tutoring, I have successfully helped students improve their test scores, fluency, and confidence in English.

My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults at beginner to advanced levels (A1-C1). I work with students preparing for exams, professionals improving Business English, and non-native speakers aiming for fluency. Whether you're looking for structured lessons or casual conversation practice, I adapt my approach to fit your learning goals.
