As a tutor, I prioritize understanding each student’s unique strengths, challenges, and learning style. I use a personalized approach that combines patience, creativity, and structure to make lessons both engaging and effective. I focus on building a strong foundation in English skills—reading comprehension, writing clarity, grammar, and vocabulary—while encouraging critical thinking and confidence. I use interactive techniques like guided practice, discussions, and real-world examples to help students connect with the material. For younger learners, I incorporate games and visual aids to make learning enjoyable. With older students, I focus on analytical skills, essay organization, and clear communication tailored to their academic level.
Typical Lesson Plan:
1. Introduction: Review previous material and set clear objectives for the session.
2. Core Lesson: Teach new concepts using examples, explanations, and step-by-step guidance.
3. Practice: Work through exercises, writing prompts, or reading passages together.
4. Feedback: Provide constructive suggestions for improvement.
5. Wrap-up: Summarize key points, answer questions, and assign relevant tasks or practice work.

As a Temple University student with experience as a teaching assistant, I bring a blend of academic knowledge and real-world teaching experience. My approachable and flexible style helps students feel supported while pushing them to reach their potential. My lessons are designed for students from elementary through high school who want to improve their English skills. Whether it’s mastering grammar, improving essay-writing, or preparing for exams, I’m here to help students at any skill level.
