About Vernon
I have B.Sc Mathematics (with Distinction) , Comp.Sc (Honours Class I) and PhD (Artificial Intelligence Logic) from WSU. I have extensive experience in teaching computer science and discrete mathematics tutorials to undergrad students.
Being also a research scientist, I have lots of experience in explaining complicated concepts in a succinct and precise way in scientific gatherings by providing their intuition and examples. As such, I also have extensive experience in delivering complex mathematics and computer science concepts in scientific papers in a clear, precise and succinct manner.

I base my classes on the intuitive and creative approach to problem solving. I believe that making students do actual problems is the key to understanding maths and computer science concepts. As with tennis, you actually have to play to learn and the more you practice, the better you get.
Although I am an advocate for doing lots of mathematical practice exercises, I believe that throwing in the occasional hard and challenging problems enhances a students understanding of the learned concepts.
