About Thomas
I'm a friendly, supportive, experienced teacher and tutor who is passionate about helping you harness the power of English Literature. I have two degrees, a BA in English Literatures and a Bachelor of Teaching. During my lessons I will use both your prescribed texts and wider reading to help you identify and distill the themes and ideas into sophisticated responses. Through close reading, I will help you unpack how a text is constructed and then together we will zoom out and identify how it is connected to broader ideas so you are prepared and confident for any assessment task. Having taught for over 7 years has allowed me to tailor lessons to suit any level or ability. I strive to make your lesson fun and engaging and above all else demonstrate how English can be used to excel in all areas of life.

The themes, ideas, and allegories communicated through English can be synthesized and applied to so many areas.
