About Grace
My name is Grace, and I am currently in the third year of my Law and Irish degree in UCC. I am a fluent Irish speaker and spend my summers working at Irish College with Junior and Leaving Certificate students. I achieved 100% in the oral components of both my Irish and French Leaving Certificate examinations. I am currently spending my first semester on Erasmus in Nice, where I speak French regularly and continue to develop my knowledge of the language.
I am friendly, patient and professional, and I aim to help students become more comfortable and confident in their abilities. I understand that speaking a language and answering questions can feel intimidating, so I aim to create a calm, encouraging environment where students are comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and progressing at their own pace.

My lessons are patient, supportive and adapted to each student’s needs. I particularly enjoy helping nervous students feel comfortable and confident, creating a relaxed environment where questions and mistakes are welcomed as part of learning.
Students can work through the complete Junior Cycle or Leaving Certificate Irish course step by step. Lessons can also focus on a specific area of difficulty or preparation for an upcoming oral, examination, class test or assignment. Topics covered include grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, written work, prescribed material, oral preparation and examination technique.
I teach secondary-school students from first to sixth year. I have delivered Irish oral masterclasses for educational organisations and helped a fifth-year student progress from H6 to H1-level results in Irish between just March and May this year.
