My approach is student-centered, adaptive, and focuses on understanding concepts over memorizing. I believe learning should feel achievable, so I combine clear explanations with practice and feedback.
A sample lesson plan with me would look like the following: 5-10 minutes of warm up questions, 30 mins of guided practice where we work through practice problems together, 20 minutes of individual problem solving time where I can I observe, take notes, and offer feedback, and 10 minutes of reinforcing our learning from the session.
I specialize in working with students between the ages of 10 to 18, and I offer support in Math, Chemistry, Biology, and English. I’m also highly experienced in standardized test preparation, including the SAT and MCAT, and I focus not only on building academic skills, but also on boosting students' confidence and reducing test anxiety. My sessions are structured yet flexible, and I always aim to help students develop long-term learning strategies they can carry with them beyond our sessions.
