About Nikolai
I am an experienced Flute teacher with more than 10 years of teaching experience. I teach School students, College students, and working professionals who wish to learn flute in a structured and supportive environment.
My tutoring method focuses on strong musical fundamentals. I train students in breath control, finger coordination, tone quality, rhythm accuracy, and musical interpretation. Lessons are planned to ensure steady and confident progress.
I place high importance on communication and regular practice. I explain techniques clearly and provide demonstrations when needed. Accountability is maintained through progress reviews and honest feedback. Integrity guides my teaching style.
In addition to flute training, I also teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm training, and performance preparation. I support students with exam preparation, auditions, and recitals.
My unique skill is motivating students to stay consistent and disciplined. I create a positive learning atmosphere that encourages long-term musical growth.

My flute teaching methodology emphasises Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, providing a student-centred and comprehensive learning experience. I start by understanding each student’s skill level, goals, and learning preferences.
Clear communication ensures that techniques such as posture, breath control, fingering, articulation, phrasing, and sight-reading are taught in an understandable and practical manner. I encourage active participation, questions, and feedback, helping students build confidence and motivation throughout their learning journey.
Creativity is a key component of my approach. I guide students to explore different musical genres, improvise, and develop their own interpretations of pieces. I also incorporate exercises in musical composition and expression to foster originality and artistic identity. Flexibility allows lessons to be adapted to the student’s pace, challenges, and interests, ensuring a personalised and motivating experience.
In addition to flute instruction, I cover music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, and sight-reading to develop well-rounded musicianship. My methodology ensures students achieve technical mastery, expressive performance skills, and confidence, while cultivating a lifelong passion for music and a meaningful connection to their instrument.
