About Jonathan
Jonathan Giraldo is a musician, guitarist, tiple player and composer of Colombia. In 2016 he starts his career as a guitarist at the Universidad de Antioquia, where he is currently in the eighth semester of undergraduate music.
He starts his first steps in the field of composition with EÓN, a band of which he was a co-founder and in which he made his debut as guitarist, composer and second voice since its foundation in 2016. His concern for exploring different compositional approaches has led him to be influenced by different musical trends, among which the classical style, rock and metal, traditional Colombian Andean music (the pasillo, the bambuco, the guabina, etc.), post-tonal music, some aspects of minimalism and rhetorical aspects of Baroque music based on the theory of affects.
His music has a narrative proposal based on metaphor; both, his songs and some of his instrumental compositions (in his playbills), contain a humanistic mood that describes different features of human reality, his eternal searches and sufferings.
