About Evelyn
I am a dedicated guitar tutor with more than 4 years of teaching experience. Holding a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance (Contemporary Styles), I combine academic training with a passion for creative exploration. My teaching centers on compositional techniques, arranging for guitar, and developing original pieces. Lessons integrate harmony, melody, counterpoint, and recording simple demos. Every student has their own goals, and I adapt my approach to support them. Beginners receive clear foundations, while advanced players expand into composition and arranging. I have guided students at every stage, including professionals eager to refine their writing. My lessons are warm, interactive, and focused on both growth and enjoyment. Students quickly find their own musical voice. I believe the guitar is a tool for imagination as much as performance. Over time, students gain confidence not only in technique but also in creativity. My guitar teaching method brings theory to life. Instead of keeping ideas abstract, I show how scales, modes, and chords work directly on the guitar. Harmonic analysis is used to explain songs and styles. I then help students apply the same tools in improvisation and composition. Each lesson is customized to student goals, whether they want freedom or precision. I explain theory in small, clear steps so it feels manageable. Students practice patterns and progressions that connect to real music. Improvisation is built gradually, giving players confidence along the way. Composing is also a focus, as it strengthens both creativity and theory use. I provide demonstrations to make concepts easy to see and hear. Lessons are designed to be interactive and motivating. Over time, students gain both technical skill and personal style. My goal is to make theory practical, inspiring, and enjoyable.
