About Roberto
I have been playing trumpet since I was ten years old and have been involved in multiple ensembles including wind symphonies, orchestras, jazz ensembles and Afro-Cuban ensembles. While I have volunteered as a trumpet coach and tutor for more than 2 years, I have had the opportunity to provide one-on-one lessons to more than 10 students and coaching sessions to groups of more than 5 trumpet players.

My approach into teaching trumpet is understanding the students' desires and needs of improving on the instrument in addition to learning music theory. I assess the students based on their playing capabilities and assign repertoire for them to learn in addition to working on exercises from certain method books that can help improve on the trumpet.
In addition to trumpet, I teach music theory and help children understand to read music better. We go over certain aspects of theory based on the students' knowledge of music theory, ranging from scales, chords and progressions, improvisation and composition.
