About Jack
Jack is a full-time writer, who has published analyses of global supply chains, philosophy, geopolitics, and corporate finance. He has also ghost-written public facing articles for professors of computer science and physics, an experience which led him to the conclusion that people far smarter than himself sometimes struggle to express their ideas in prose. This lesson continues to inform his approach to tutoring, where he focuses on giving capable thinkers the tools necessary to communicate their reasoning in the clear, concise, and structured manner preferred by examiners. Beyond academic goals, he always encourages pupils to read for pleasure — his own favourite pastime. Experience: Jack has tutored extensively alongside his bachelor’s degree at the London School of Economics and master’s at the University of St Andrews. He has worked on exam preparation with sixth formers at some of the UK’s best-known schools, conducted in person lessons for younger pupils with special educational needs, and provided residential English language tutoring for a French family. His areas of expertise include Philosophy, English Literature, Journalism, IB Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay writing and GCSE Religious Studies.
