About Tyson
I am both a passionate learner and a passionate teacher. I have deeply enjoyed working in a school environment and aim to bring both strong academic achievement and practical classroom experience to my tutoring. I am a history lover, as seen in my achievements of a 94 ATAR, Band 6 results in Ancient History and first place rankings in multiple humanities subjects, before completing a Bachelor of Archaeology and commencing a Master of Teaching (Secondary).
Working within high school education, I understand syllabus requirements, assessment standards, and what markers look for at a Band 5–6 level. My focus is to build confidence, help refine writing technique, and develop capable independent learners. I have worked with students with a diverse range of backgrounds and love seeing them improve their learning.

I have experience teaching children from a diverse range of backgrounds with different learning abilities and needs. I work with students to not only improve their grades but their confidence in school through demonstrating how to prioritise organisational skills, develop clear essay structure, and build strong literacy foundations.
