About Kim-Louise
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to interact with students at all levels of study on topics that I am most interested in, such as (but not limited to) psychology, research methodologies, data analysis, academic writing and publishing, and neuroscience. I'm qualified with postgraduate degrees in psychology and history, but lean more towards psychology as a career path as the research opportunities in that field are more in alignment with my long-term goals. I have been tutoring university students in-person and online for six years, in both individual and group settings. Although I believe in establishing proper human connections with each student, I am sure to practice professionalism and boundary-setting at each turn of the teaching process.

I make sure to structure lessons such that only a small portion of the time we spend together is dense content, and instead prefer to spend much of the lesson in conversation with my students as they grapple with the content in a more applied manner.
My lessons and experiences are mostly with postgraduate students, but I can adapt to assist motivated and interested undergraduates and senior high school students, as well.
I thoroughly enjoy designing lessons that suit the individual preferences and needs of each student, including but not limited to specifications around neurodiversity, learning styles, degree requirements, and optimal near and far transfer of content and skills.
