About Maya
I am a full time English Literature and Language Undergrad, I struggled massively during exam season and in normal mainstream lessons due to learning difficulties and found it difficult to focus on subjects I didn't find interesting, I guess i'm saying I understand. Wether you're confident in the work you do and just need a little confirmation of your progress or you struggle with "normal" teaching styles and are looking for something more fun, interactive and less stress inducing.

I want to get young people excited about literature again. My teaching focus is on pre GCSE ages, getting them ready for poetry and creative writing analysis. I formulate mock essay questions with criteria typical to those you would see in a GCSE exam. I may find a text similar to the literature that schools are using, or even previous texts that I have studied along with necessary tools to answer literature questions successfully. I am happy to aid in helping my student understand wording and phrases and break down questions to create a clearer or more understandable question.
