About Mia
As a teen I’d struggled academically in school and faced various problems with my behaviour; I wasn’t interested in education and disregarded higher education. Until the last year of school came around and I had limited options. My predicted grades were well below average and I desperately wanted to turn it around. Outside of school I’d started lessons with a tutor and was put into extra lessons in school. The tools and exam skills I will be teaching you are what got me from a Grade 2 to a Grade 8 in a total of 8 months left to go. That then inspired me to go onto A Level and come out with A* in the subject. In my second year of study at A Level I was put onto the ‘buddy programme’ where I’m paired with people in the years below tutoring GCSE English and A Level. All the students I have tutored previously have achieved GCSE from 4-9 and A Level ‘C’ or above.

Specialising in exam skills and preparation. Either to hit the pass mark and gain the qualifications necessary or to excel and achieve highest marks possible for further advancement. My lessons are 80% skills based, and 20% content revision. Every lesson is centred around real exam paper questions. I’m also able to mark answers and provide feedback.
