About William
# About me
I’m an Anatomical Pathology Registrar and UNSW Medicine graduate offering university-level pathology and histology tutoring.
I graduated high school in 2015 with an ATAR of 99.95 and a State Rank of 17th in English Advanced and have previously tutored high school math and English both privately and in large class settings at Dr Du Education. After graduating UNSW Medicine with a Bachelor of Medical Studies and Doctor of Medicine in 2021, I decided to pursue a career in pathology by undertaking specialist training in Anatomical Pathology with the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA). I have previously taught UNSW phase 3 sessions at Wagga Wagga and St Vincent's Hospital Sydney clinical schools, as well as more junior registrars within the diagnostic pathology laboratories I have worked.
With both a strong academic background and current specialist training in pathology, I’m well placed to tutor medical and medical science students at university level, particularly in general pathology, histopathology, cancer pathology and systemic disease.

I am offering private tutoring in pathology, histopathology and disease mechanisms for medical students and Medical Science/Biomedical Science students.
Pathology can feel overwhelming because of the volume of material and the need to connect basic mechanisms with clinical disease, gross pathology and microscopic appearances. My aim is to make these concepts logical and clinically relevant rather than relying on memorization.

• General pathology – cell injury, adaptation, inflammation, healing, thrombosis, embolism, infarction and shock
• Neoplasia and cancer pathology – carcinogenesis, tumor biology, invasion/metastasis, grading/staging and common cancers
• Systemic/anatomical pathology – cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, renal, endocrine, neurological, breast, reproductive and other organ systems
• Histology and histopathology – recognizing normal tissue and understanding how disease alters microscopic morphology
• Gross pathology and specimen interpretation
• Clinicopathological correlation and understanding why pathological changes produce particular symptoms, investigations and clinical findings
• Medical terminology and difficult pathology concepts
• MCQ, SAQ and exam preparation
• Revision of lecture material and difficult topics
• Explaining and consolidating textbook material in a manageable, exam focused way i.e. Robbins & Cotran / Robbins Basic Pathology
I can tailor sessions directly to your university lectures, learning objectives and assessment material. You're welcome to send your curriculum/study guide and preferred topics to cover beforehand so that the tutorial focuses on exactly what you need.
