About India
I am a student at the University of Oxford reading Economics & Management. I have always had a desire to teach as I come from a lower-income household in an underprivileged area and sympathise with the lack of support offered at state schools. With the right mentors and teachers, however, I managed to break into a top university and now feel inspired to help others achieve greatness and break socioeconomic barriers.

I approach tutoring on a personal level - a student tells me a topic that they struggle with and I create a presentation centred around delivering an intuitive understanding for the student equipped with exam-required terminology and explanations. The sessions are flexible as students are free to ask further questions or explore deeper parts of the presentation. By the end of the presentation, we will apply the knowledge to exam-style questions relating to the troublesome topic and I will set optional revision questions for the student to attempt throughout the week for extra practice which I will mark and provide feedback on. The typical lesson length I recommend is 60 minutes; however, I am flexible and willing to change lesson lengths to fit the wants of students. This is one of my first tutoring projects hence I offer additional services and lessons at a lower price than average. My lessons extend to those studying for GCSE and A-Level economics.

India has a bubbly and charismatic personality which will come across straight away in lessons. I know India through University, where we both take Economics and it’s safe to say she really is an expert in the subject. She knows the A Level economics curriculum completely off the top of her head and so she would make an amazing tutor for anyone who is struggling with A Level or GCSE economics. India is also very good at explaining difficult topics in a way that’s easy to understand - in fact, she really helped me get my head around a number of topics I found tricky at University. I’d highly recommend India to anyone looking for help with Economics.
