About Tanya
Hi! I’m Tanya. I’ve recently completed my GCSEs and A-Levels and have started my undergraduate degree, so I completely understand what it’s like to be in your position — juggling exams, essays, and high expectations.
I’m passionate about English because it’s not just about memorizing quotes — it’s about understanding ideas, expressing yourself clearly, and thinking critically. I love helping students break down difficult concepts into simple, practical steps that actually make sense.
I decided to tutor because I know how much of a difference the right guidance can make. Sometimes all you need is someone to explain things in a clear, supportive way — and that’s what I aim to do in every lesson.

My approach to tutoring is centered on clarity, confidence, and critical thinking. I know what it’s like to be a student and I feel like learning shouldn’t feel overwhelming. My main goal is to help students understand concepts long term rather than just cramming or memorizing information passively.
I integrate active recall and practice-based learning, because real improvement comes from applying knowledge, not just reading it. I can help with other tasks such as setting up timetables for studying for better performance, as well as effective study methods.
