About Irisa
I am a Uni student studying a Bachelors of Medical Science with the aspirations of applying to a Masters program to become a Registered Music Therapist.
I am passionate about not only teaching the joys and art of music to my students but also in helping students to gain their confidence through music.
Throughout my time in school I was always in the school band and also represented my school in local community bands and have continued since graduating from high school to stay in local community bands.

I have been playing music for 18 years and tutoring for 6 years am comfortable teaching students of all ages and levels.
My main students are primary and high school aged but I also have many adult students.
I am comfortable teaching AMEB syllabus for Clarinet, Saxophone and Flute but also am happy to teach students who don't want to focus on AMEB.
I believe in teaching through active learning techniques rather than memorisation which is commonly used in music and cater each lesson to my students needs.
I have completed AMEB exams up to grade 8 on Clarinet and Saxophone and play in my local community Big Band.
