About Brandon
I study Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, having achieved 4 A*s at A-Level (Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry) and achieved 100% in EPQ. In 2023 I was among the top 125 of nearly 600,000 (0.0002%) of GCSE students, achieving top grade 9s in eleven subjects. Tutoring has allowed me to use these abilities to improve others’ lives, whatever their age and whatever their ability. This is why I now tutor; I can bring others up to the best they can be.

With multiple years of experience tutoring students from 11-18, I’ve had the opportunity to develop an accessible yet effective teaching style, focusing on learning from first principles. I believe that knowing the fundamentals and their products well is the best way to learn the harder stuff. This is a technique which works best with chemistry; I have had students scoring in the 30%s rise to 70%s once they started using this method; it is the method I used to get into Cambridge. My experience enables me to tailor a session to anyone, and the ability to work overtime after a session to prepare best for the next.

Perfect! We’re really grateful for the support my son received with his GCSE Chemistry revision.
Brandon is highly knowledgeable. Lessons were engaging, motivating, and clear. My son genuinely looked forward to them.
Complex topics e.g quantatitive chemistry and organic chemistry were explained with patience, building his confidence step by step.
Brandon has had a massive impact on both his learning and confidence with Chemistry. I would recommend Brandon to anyone looking for GCSE Chemistry support.- Oscar was a really great student who seemed very willing to learn and develop from the ground up. He was eager to understand, even when challenged at a level above GCSE - I see great things in his future!Brandon's response :

Brandon is a problem solver. He will work tirelessly to ensure his student understands the concept. He does this by changing the explanation, the task and by breaking it down piece by piece. Brandon will plan each lesson meticulously but has the ability to adapt if the lesson requires it.
I have known Brandon for five years as his Chemistry teacher and tutor. He has proved himself to be a truly outstanding candidate, highly erudite, who is very deservedly predicted to gain top grades in all of his A level subjects.
He has been able to to teach himself a vast array of different topic material, often beyond the syllabus, and summarise this to me in a way that is concise and well considered.
He has been popular with students of all ages, at the school, because he has been very capable of clearly and carefully explaining concepts and how they can be effectively applied.View more recommendations
