About Sophie
I am currently a science tutor, working with students aged 11–16 and supporting them in building their confidence and academic skills. Alongside science, I also provide support in mathematics, helping students develop a strong understanding of key concepts and improve their problem-solving abilities. Having achieved a Grade 7 in GCSE Mathematics, I understand the challenges students can face and the impact that effective teaching can have. I was fortunate to have inspiring teachers who helped me succeed, and that experience motivated me to become a tutor myself. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, overcome difficulties, and achieve their full potential. Whether a student is aiming to improve their confidence, strengthen their understanding, or boost their grades, I am committed to helping them reach their goals.

I prefer to change my teaching methods to suit how the student finds it easier to learn. I can teach primary up to GCSE level mathematics. A lesson will be 60-120 minutes depending on subject, how fast we get through the tasks or even just how long you prefer.
