My goal is to make learning a collaborative process, where students feel empowered to ask questions, explore, and build their confidence.
As a tutor, my approach involves tailoring lessons to fit each student’s unique needs, learning style, and pace. I emphasize clarity, patience, and engagement, ensuring that complex topics are broken down into understandable, manageable parts. I like visual aids, real-world examples, and interactive discussions to foster active learning and critical thinking.
Teaching Methods and Techniques:
I use a student-centered approach, where I assess the individual needs of each student and adjust my teaching methods accordingly. Whether a student learns best through discussion, hands-on activities, or visual aids, I incorporate techniques that maximize their understanding. I also focus on reinforcing foundational concepts before moving on to more complex ideas, ensuring a strong grasp of the basics. I grew up a Montessori child and found a lot of power in their technique.
Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of the previous session to reinforce retention, followed by the introduction of new material. Each lesson ends with a summary and a brief assessment to gauge the student’s understanding, followed by assigning relevant practice work to solidify learning.
