About Katie
I am currently a senior at UWM. I have taken all Advanced Placement History courses in high school and I am working towards getting my degree in History right now. My main area of focus is European history but I love studying just about anything. I have also been studying French for five years so I have a background in that and can tutor in this area as well. I worked on campus for a year through the Pre-College Mini-Course program so I have experience working with many different ages of students. I have also volunteered at Brown St Academy in a 5th-grade class.

My teaching method is mainly to keep the student engaged. I know from experience that History is not many people's favorite subject but it is essentially retelling the story of a person or an event. Most people like stories, so this is an easier way to help the students enjoy history.
