About Elissa

I am a University of Kentucky graduate and a current high school teacher with a background in Agriculture and Science. I am passionate about helping students understand challenging material in a clear and encouraging way. Through my experience in the classroom, I have developed strong skills in adapting lessons to meet different learning styles and needs. I strive to create a supportive and structured environment where students feel confident, capable, and prepared to succeed.

About the lesson

About My Lessons:
As a current high school teacher, my goal is to make learning clear, simple, and confidence-building. I break down complex topics into easy steps and help students understand not just what to do, but why it works.

My Approach:
I use clear explanations, real-world examples, and guided practice to help students stay engaged and actually understand the material.

Typical Lesson:
- Quick check of what the student knows
- Simple explanation of the topic
- Practice together
- Independent practice with support
- Quick review before ending

What Sets Me Apart:
I focus on helping students truly understand the material so they can succeed on their own, not just during our session.

Who I Work With:
Middle school to high school students, including English Language Learners, in Agriculture, Science, and TEFL.
