About Elisabetta
I am a native Italian professional translator and have been teaching Italian to groups and to individuals for over 20 years. Whether you are studying Italian at GCSE, A-Level or at university, or you are just curious about this fascinating language and you are going on holiday to the Amalfi coast next year, or you are a business person who needs to understand a little bit more what your Italian counterparts say, I can help you develop your knowledge and ability in understanding and speaking the language. English is my second language, I have lived in the UK for 26 years, I have a degree in Philosophy and a Master of Arts in Translation Studies, I run a freelance business offering linguistic services and I am currently awaiting my PhD viva in Translation Studies.

I use a functional teaching approach: depending on your level and goals, I will create and set out a plan for you to get as much out of the lessons as possible. Lessons should be fun and the language will become more and more natural for you. Teaching will be integrated with extra material selected on the internet, videos, readings and conversations. I also teach small groups on a weekly basis, please enquire for the next course availability.

Due to the current pandemic I can only offer virtual lessons on Zoom or Skype. I use the same didactic material as I would in person and my students really enjoy it.
