About Nandini Premraj
I am a university mathematics student with a strong foundation in both high school and introductory university-level math. I understand that many students struggle not because they are incapable, but because math is often taught in a way that prioritizes memorization over understanding. My approach focuses on building clear intuition, breaking problems down step by step, and helping students truly grasp the underlying concepts.
I tutor high school students as well as first-year university students in courses such as calculus, algebra, and related foundational topics. We begin by identifying what concepts feel unclear and what the student is currently working on, whether that is homework, assignments, or exam preparation. From there, I explain ideas step by step, focusing on understanding the reasoning behind each method rather than memorizing formulas.
Lessons typically involve guided problem-solving, where we work through examples together and gradually move toward the student solving problems independently with support. I encourage questions throughout the session and adjust the pace as needed to ensure the student feels comfortable and confident.
