About Oliver
I am an outgoing, disciplined and people-oriented individual. Inspiration to tutor originates from my English tutor who assisted me to achieve an 8 (A*) from only scraping passes, within the space of a couple of months. I discovered it wasn't English that I didn't get along with, but the way I was taught and the lack of inspiration portrayed from my teachers. I thrive in teaching the importance of psychological and behavioural habits to maximise success. My first free session will include a detailed conversation, discussing the student's motivations, background, and to set goals to work towards!

- Personalised induction to understand your learning style and build a detailed and attainable programme with realistic but challenging goals - Using a variety of resources for the best possible content to learn, and constant application to exam-style questions. - Quizzes, presentations and games to keep engagement. - Volunteered as an online Mathematics tutor for two years, and have helped improve grades for many friends and family members - STEM and Economics subjects taught for ages 14 - 18 i.e. GCSE and A level.

I needed to pass functional maths to start my nursing degree, and I have severe dyslexia and dyspraxia, hindering my progress as I failed the maths exam four times at my local college. Oliver offered to help me, and what a blessing he was. He was very patient and helped me break down the questions into bite-size, which was helpful. He is very knowledgeable and capable and explained what I needed to do in a very clear and pragmatic approach, and I'm pleased to say I finally passed my exam with a result being 80%.
