About Tvesa
Hi! I'm Tvesa, currently studying a double degree in Commerce and Economics at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Prior to this, I completed my High School Certificate with an ATAR of 97.9 .
My HSC credentials include:
- HSC Ext 2 Mathematics 95
- HSC Ext 1 Mathematics 93
- HSC Economics 90
- HSC Advanced English 88
Over my academic and professional journey, I have developed a strong understanding in mathematics and finance, leveraging a variety of experiences. I aim to share my love for mathematics with my students, helping them not only excel in their academic life but also gain an appreciation of the subject.
I believe I will be a great tutor because I have the required skillsets to ensure I am successful at it. I am hardworking and committed to ensuring my students' maximum growth and pushing them beyond their comfort zone. I am able to provide targeted help and expose them to a wide range of complex questions. This will instill confidence when going into tests. I have come first in both Maths Ext 1 and Ext 2 at school due to my structured approach when studying math. I hope to use this approach for my students as well, allowing them to maximize their marks as well as their learning.
I am willing to help my students achieve results and potential that exceed their goals and expectations.

I teach all ages from year 1 - 12 (For all levels).
My lessons run for 1 hour and are catered towards each students needs. I look to ensure that my students are first and foremost comfortable with their current curriculum/topic being studied at school and then strive to push further to get an advantage and excel in their studies.
Typically, we would start the lesson with building a strong theoretical foundation and really understanding how mathematical rules and formulas are derived. From here, we will move on to some example questions that we can go through together to provide a base format for how a student should structure their answers. It is not just about how you get to the right answer, but also how you present it! Then I will ask them to do a few questions in front of me. This way I will be able to correct any thinking errors or working out errors. It will give them an opportunity to brainstorm the best, most efficient methods to answer a question. Once the student has gained a strong grasp, we will move on to some more challenging questions helping the students go to that next level. The lesson will also cater for any doubts, questions and concerns the students may have.
For homework, I usually provide questions to complete (mixed difficulty) sourced from past papers as well as textbooks. This way they will be encouraged to think in new ways, gain new ideas and be exposed to a wider range of questions, making examinations second nature. Learners should expect the above layout of the class presentation, and should expect homework worth 2 hours a week.
With my extensive HSC, University (Curricular and extra-curricular) and professional experience I would love to my students realise their full potential and attain their goals!
