About Chandler Grace
I’m a current University of Virginia (McIntire School of Commerce) student with concentrations in Finance and Accounting. I tutor middle and high school math and guide students through college prep with a clear, structured approach and measurable goals. My lessons are patient, step-by-step, and tailored to each learner; parents receive brief progress updates after sessions. I’m a UVA student who teaches with a diagnostic → scaffolded → mastery approach: quick baseline check, think-aloud demos, guided practice, and spaced-review homework. A typical 55-minute lesson: 5-min goal-setting, 5-min warm-up, 35-min targeted skills/problem-solving, 10-min recap + next steps. What sets me apart from other tutors are clear step-by-step methods, custom practice sets, a simple progress tracker, weekly parent updates, and test-taking strategies (timing, error patterns, calculator discipline). Lessons are for middle and high school students (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calc, Statistics, SAT/ACT Math, and AP Statistics) including honors/IB, and ADHD-friendly coaching. I build confidence fast while teaching the “why” behind each move, so students can transfer skills to quizzes, finals, and college prep.
